Ebracing the Body

This project was the Final Project in the class Spatial Dynamtics at RISD. The assignment was to embrace, protect, or enhance the human body. I desided to embrace the body's natural curves but also show the sharpness of the body as well. This is a 3 layered linen fabric hand sewen to wooden rings. This was then cut through the layers to show the many layers within the body that can shine through when embracing our own flaws. Making the project took a total of 72 hours to make and sew.

Perfume Bottle

This project was a project in the class Spatial Dynamics at RISD. The assignment was to create a vessel. I decided to remodel a Dior perfume that reminded me of home as I thought that the floral sent doesn't look like what it smells. So I created this floral like perfume bottle that has warm colors that remind me of the wall colors of my house. And the blue is spreading on the bottle showing how my new home at RISD is slowly forming into my sense of home. The base is polymer clay that is not baked yet and still moldable to show how my sense of home will contiue to be molded as life goes on. The bottle is made of air dried clay, painted with acrylic paint and coated with resin to get that glossy finisg.

Cloud Chair

This project was the Final Project in the class Spatial Dynamtics at RISD. The assignment was to make a shelter. I decided to make a chair that sits atop a hill and the chair feels like a cloud. I made the structure out of PVC pipes, heated to shape into curves. I then drapped multiple fabrics that created a soft light inside the cloud chair. The cloud is also chaped as a tear drop as a cloud has just landed on the ground. The base has a double layer memory foam mattress that makes you feel afloat. This chair is large enough to fit one person
